George Clarke's Old House New Home, Series 4: Start Date, Presenter, Episode Guide

From Victorian to Arts and Crafts, Britain has some of the most beautiful historic houses in the world full of character. But the way houses were built years ago just doesn’t work for us today. George gets under the skin of homes with history to unlock their potential by creating stylish solutions for period properties to make them fit for 21st century living.

The interior of the 26 foot long cockpit has seen two rows of three seats placed across from one another with a glass table and bar stool by the side. New owners Albert and Kristina have their work cut out to get this place turned around, and with a new baby just weeks away, it's a race against time. George moved into a 1910-built Notting Hill house in 2015 and - true to character - renovated the entire property. George's new love has reportedly now received a blessing from her late husband's family as she embarks on a new romance with the Channel 4 star.

George is back helping to transform the inside of tired old homes into stunning modern interiors. George went on to launch his own company before he landed TV work on Channel 5's Build A New Life in the Country. He then went on to front a number of other shows including The Restoration Man, George Clarke's Amazing Spacesand more, before startingGeorge Clarke's Old House, New Homein 2016. After leaving school at 16, George began working for architects which sparked his interest in working in the field.

He then went onto study further and gain qualifications in building and construction and eventually a degree in architecture. He has completely renovated his 1910 house in Notting Hill, transforming the interior into a modern home, whilst restoring the exterior to its original appearance. Clarke has set up a charity organisation called Ministry of Building Innovation and Education which is designed to train and inspire young people into the innovation and design of homes in the U.K. MOBIE also designed a course in partnership with Teesside University.

He trained as an architect after leaving school at the age of 16. The firm has mainly been involved in renovation and refurbishment projects but it has also designed new buildings. Whilst he was a student, Clarke supported himself financially by renovating people's homes in his spare time. The steely interior of the plane remains largely unchanged from its days of service, with exposed metal walls and ceiling and corrugated metal flooring throughout. A second bar stool has been added up at the flight deck of the 1.5 ton plane, complete with throttle controls which now control the lights and panoramic windows.

House hunters discovered the property and were quick to comment on the stunning addition. The incredible design was featured on George Clarke's Amazing Spaces when homeowner Vince Essex spent just £750 to purchase the cockpit and a further £8,000 to transform it. The front end of the plane has been revamped into a stylish bar area, with full-length French doors and windows in the rear to allow for it to be used for entertaining. N/ASami is angry that his asylum case has been ongoing for six months without a decision.

The architect promotes the need to be “creative and efficient”, particularly with properties in London. “Those who have space tend to view their houses in very traditional ways, mainly because of what they are told on the TV – so you must use these colours, or match this fabric with that piece of furniture. There are still hints of the traditional Georgian interior, but George has said it was his plan to to put a personal spin on the property, which he says should be the goal of any new homeowner, whatever their budget. The 47-year-old gutted the original interior of the West London home and replaced it with a sleek, stylish and modern interior. The first TV show Clarke presented was Property Dreams in 2004 before moving on to other series including Build A New Life In The Country, The Restoration Man and Ugly House To Lovely House.

Clarke was offered the job, and then went on to present two more property shows for Channel 5 before being commissioned to present The Restoration Man for Channel 4. 'Externally there is a large rear garden with open views, detached double garage, ample driveway parking and a separate annex with a lounge/kitchen/diner, double bedroom and modern en-suite shower room. The property itself is up for sale for £1.25m whilst the converted summer house is available via 'separate negotiation'. A fresh take on property shows, each programme in the series features two very different makeovers, from Art Deco bungalows to country farmhouses. George focuses on the design dilemmas often experienced when trying to achieve a modern look in a period home, and the astonishing transformations prove that it is possible to create a perfect blend of old and new. The seventh series of the presenter and architect's show,George Clarke's Old House, New Home, begins on Wednesday night and will see him check out some of Britain's most incredible historic homes. George's production company, Amazing Productions, search for homes of all sizes, and all architectural periods, including listed properties.
